TAXPAYER FUNDED LOBBYING FOR VERIFIED RESPONSE
___________________________

The E-mail below was written to Larry Davis, the Chairman of the Dallas Commission on Productivity & Innovation.  The Commission lobbied the City Council and Dallas Citizens to pass Verified Response for security alarms using taxpayer money.  After the news media outed Davis on this, he solicited money from alarm patrol companies that have a vested interest in the passing of Verified Response.   The Commission lobbied for Verified Response while demonizing the security alarm companies who were against the proposal.

Just wanted to make sure you saw the article in today's DMN "Taxpayers at first funded alarm lobbying"
i
Looks like the security companies weren't the only group interested in the VR issue.  In this case, it looks like your "productivity" team used money provided by security PATROL companies and other questionable contributors to help sell VR to citizens and to city hall.  You did this after the media exposed you for using taxpayer money to do the same thing.  That stinks to high heaven.  At the same time the "productivity" team is badmouthing security companies as having a "vested" interest in having VR fail, it is taking money from security patrol companies and others that have every reason to want VR adopted........they get more business.  What hypocrites you and the other members of the "productivity" team are.
i
Since there was no rational reason for cities adopting VR in the first place, the "productivity" team had to lie and distort facts to make a case at all to try to justify it to the council and to Dallas citizens.    I should have known that something underhanded was going on.
i
With the complete lack of ethics displayed by the "productivity" team, it certainly makes me wonder if maybe a member or members of the "productivity" team didn't receive a little compensation themselves for carrying the water for the security patrol companies. People that would do what you did should be carefully watched to see what other questionable things your "committee" might be involved with.
i
Larry, I don't know how you people can look at yourself in the mirror.  This is dishonest and quite probably illegal.
i
Don't feed me with your crap that you are working without compensation to help the city of Dallas.  Your kind of help, Dallas doesn't need.  The Productivity & Innovation Commission stinks to high heaven.  Your committee appears to me to be nothing more than a lobbying group for special interests working under the guise of "volunteers working to make the city better".
i
You had better hope that a full airing of this unsavory incident is not made available to Dallas citizens.
